Greetings to all Members of the Ancient Society Globally,

I am excited to share with you my first article following my public appearance and declaration on the progress of our ecosystem on August 16, 2024. During that meeting, attended by over 100 participants from around the world, I highlighted the upcoming full-scale rollout of our projects. As promised, each release will be accompanied by a blog post to inform and guide our community on the status of the software and the vital role you play in making the Ancient Society project a success.

Today, I am thrilled to announce the release of the Ancient Mall Software.

The Ancient Mall has been a priority within our ecosystem because the value of a currency, among other things, lies in its ability to be used for the transaction of goods and services. As I have often emphasized, Bitcoin has demonstrated the potential of creating a private, trusted currency using blockchain technology. However, cryptocurrencies will continue to struggle to gain global trust as long as they remain volatile and are not easily usable for everyday purchases in supermarkets and on the street.

In light of this, the Ancient Society has taken it upon itself to build upon Bitcoin's legacy by making it easy and seamless to buy goods and services with our Ancient Coin. In our efforts to make this vision a reality, we identified a lack of decentralized digital shopping platforms that understand the dynamics of digital currencies, particularly in Africa. We, therefore, decided to develop a platform that facilitates the purchase of goods and services using both fiat and digital currencies.

Our journey to this point was not easy, but today, I am delighted to announce that we have achieved a significant breakthrough with the creation of an online shopping platform called The Ancient Mall.

The Ancient Mall is designed to be decentralized, allowing sellers to create free accounts and start uploading products they want to sell online. Similarly, buyers can create accounts, shop as much as they want, pay remotely, and have their purchases delivered to their specified destinations.

From now on, you no longer need a physical shop to start a supermarket business. With the introduction of the Ancient Mall, anyone can become a shop owner overnight. You don't need to wait to have a full stock of items before creating a shop; you can create a shop for a single pair of used shoes. It only takes a few minutes to complete the shop creation process.

Applications and Software

The Ancient Mall comes with three different software applications:

1. The Buyer App: Available on Google Play
2. The Seller App: Available on Google Play
3. The Delivery App: (Coming soon)

We have completed development on all applications except for iOS and the Delivery App, which are pending release. Both sellers and buyers can also use our website to create accounts, sell, buy, and manage their accounts seamlessly.

Security

To protect both sellers and buyers, we have implemented an escrow system where all funds will be held by the system until delivery is confirmed, after which the funds are released to the seller. Sellers will also be required to complete a simple shop configuration, Know Your Customer (KYC) process, and provide crypto or bank account details to enable easy withdrawal of funds from the system wallet.

Each seller has the option to withdraw payments using any format of their choice that is supported by the software administration. For security reasons, separate email addresses are required for creating both buyer and seller accounts. Delivery charges will vary based on the items being purchased and the proximity between the buyer and seller.

Payment Methods

Currently, we have implemented the following payment methods:

1. Ancient Pay (using Ancient Coin)
2. Paystack (for Mobile Money and Credit Card payments)
3. Google Pay (for Credit Card payments worldwide)

We are working on adding POS, Apple Pay, and PayPal soon.

Note: When a buyer pays using any of the above methods, the seller can withdraw the payment in any format of their choice. For instance, a buyer may choose to pay with cryptocurrency, but the seller can withdraw it as Mobile Money or to a bank account. A buyer can also choose the "payment on delivery" option; however, proper communication must be established between the seller and the buyer. The Ancient Society will not be responsible for any issues arising from this arrangement.

To the Members of This Society

What we have long been waiting for is now here. It is time to make Africa great once more through the Ancient ecosystem. Share this good news with all your loved ones. Let’s hit the streets and bring more merchants to your community. Remember, the closer shops are to your community on the mall, the easier it will be to shop and get goods on time.

To the Ancient Mall Executives

Let’s come together and create policies that will encourage the mass adoption of shops on the mall. We should plan on the proper scrutiny of sellers, especially within your communities, to promote buyer security and customer satisfaction. Very soon, the Ancient Mall will generate millions in profits, and every executive will receive a fair share of the revenue based on how effectively we implement these policies within our countries or communities.

Advice to All Sellers or Shop Creators

1. Complete your shop configuration with accurate information that can be verified upon inquiry.
2. Upload high-quality pictures; if possible, hire a professional photographer.
3. Use appropriate product images when uploading ads.
4. Be realistic in your pricing of goods and services and strive to stay ahead of the competition.
5. Respond promptly to buyers and aim to be persuasive and professional in your engagements.
6. Speed up delivery times. The mall administration will feature your shop if you are among the top 10 sellers with the best delivery times.
7. Be cautious when dealing with payment-upon-delivery clients; always transact in a public place where you can be easily seen by passersby.

Advice to Buyers

1. Ensure that you accurately specify the location where you want your goods to be delivered.
2. Always keep your phone on and close by when expecting a delivery.
3. It is advisable to buy from one shop at a time. However, if you purchase from different shops, payments will be made at once, but deliveries will be made in batches and at different times, depending on the physical locations of the shops.
4. Do not shop from different countries, as the Ancient Society has not yet implemented an inter-country delivery method.
5. Use the location sorting provided in the software to shop in your City, Region/State or Country. Ads on the Software are arranged in that manner

Though we have accomplished much in this project, nevertheless we aren't perfect yet. We will continue to work hard at the administrative level to make sure we become the number one e-commence platform in the world. We therefore want to have your periodic feedback on user experience and ideas in other to become better and effective.
