Despite the extensive use of tech products, none of the leading and most consumed tech products originate from or are controlled by Africans. This dependency exposes Africa to potential manipulation through machine learning algorithms that influence the thinking patterns of African youth, potentially shaping their behaviors and preferences to align with foreign interests.

The Chinese Example: China’s Tiktok, known as Douyin within its borders, exemplifies how different standards apply. If Tiktok is deemed unsafe for Chinese citizens, it raises questions about its global use. Similarly, several countries have banned or restricted Tiktok due to security concerns, recognizing the potential risks associated with foreign-controlled digital platforms.

Formation of the Ancient Society: In response to these challenges, the Ancient Society was established in 2021 with seven strategic ecosystems designed to address Africa's tech needs comprehensively. The society aims to develop alternatives to foreign apps and software that promote Pan-Africanism and respect African cultural values.
It will not be empirically logical to plan on adjusting such mind controlling Apps without first of all working on a better alternatives. We in the ancient society thinks the best way to stop an African child from spying on your neighbor’s kitchen is to feed him early and well. For that matter we have come up with alternatives softwares to almost all these deliberately mind controlling programed Apps.
