Ancient Society proudly celebrates Ambassador Oluwamayowa Joseph Adebiyi of Nigeria for becoming the first member in the history of the Society to attain the distinguished rank of Silver Scout.
The Silver Scout rank is awarded upon accumulating 100,000 Ancient Stars. Reaching this milestone requires far more than ordinary participation. It represents commitment, consistency, active engagement, community building and an exceptional belief in the long-term vision of Ancient Society.
Amb. Adebiyi’s achievement is therefore not merely a personal victory. It is a historic landmark for the entire Ancient Society community and an inspiring demonstration of what determined participation can produce.
Amb. Oluwamayowa Joseph Adebiyi serves as a member of the Nigeria Ancient Legislature, where he contributes to the legal, ethical and organisational frameworks guiding the implementation of Ancient Society’s initiatives in Nigeria. His involvement helps ensure that the Society’s programmes remain aligned with responsible leadership practices and national considerations.
Beyond his responsibilities within Ancient Society, Amb. Adebiyi has built a reputation around public accountability, civic participation and community development. His professional and civic experience includes serving as a Zonal Coordinator of the Organization of People’s Voice, participating in the ICPC National Anti-Corruption Coalition, and working as a Nigerian anti-corruption ambassador.
These responsibilities reveal a man whose service extends beyond titles. They demonstrate a sustained commitment to transparency, responsible governance and the empowerment of ordinary citizens.
One of Amb. Adebiyi’s most valuable contributions has been his willingness to promote the Ancient Society project through radio programmes, internet platforms and direct public engagement.
Through these channels, he has helped educate people about the objectives of the Society, encouraged meaningful dialogue and expanded public understanding of its potential contribution to Africa’s technological, social and economic advancement.
Ancient Society is currently presented as a Pan-African digital ecosystem connecting 23,750 registered users across 121 countries. Within a community of this reach, becoming the first person to cross the 100,000-star threshold places Amb. Adebiyi in a unique position of honour.
Ancient Stars represent more than numbers displayed on a member’s account. They reflect participation, contribution, influence and confidence in the Ancient Society ecosystem.
By accumulating 100,000 stars, Amb. Adebiyi has shown that leadership within Ancient Society is not measured only by official appointments. It is equally measured by action, presence, consistency and the willingness to help the community grow.
He did not wait for the future of Ancient Society to be built by others. He became an active participant in building that future.
His advancement to Silver Scout establishes a standard for members across Africa and the diaspora. It proves that the Society’s recognition structure is attainable by those prepared to remain committed, use the ecosystem, engage their communities and contribute meaningfully to collective progress.
This milestone is a source of pride not only for Amb. Adebiyi but also for the Nigerian Ancient Society community.
Nigeria remains one of Africa’s most influential nations in population, culture, entrepreneurship and technological adoption. Having the first Silver Scout emerge from Nigeria reflects the energy, determination and leadership potential of its members.
Amb. Adebiyi’s accomplishment demonstrates how individual commitment can strengthen a continental movement. His journey reminds every member that great institutions are built through the cumulative efforts of people who consistently show up, participate and believe.
Amb. Adebiyi has become the first Silver Scout, but the greater meaning of his achievement lies in the path he has opened for others.
Every Ancient Society member now has a living example of what is possible.
His accomplishment challenges members to move beyond passive registration and become active builders of the ecosystem. It encourages everyone to use the platforms, support the vision, invite others, participate in programmes and contribute their knowledge, networks and talents to the Society.
The Silver Scout badge placed upon him is therefore more than a decoration. It is a symbol of discipline, pioneering leadership and measurable contribution.
On behalf of the leadership, institutions and global membership of Ancient Society, we extend our highest congratulations to:
